1-Triacontanol (Triacontan-1-ol) also known as melissyl alcohol and myricyl alcohol is a saturated ultra-long-chain C30 primary fatty alcohol. It is triacontane whereby one of the terminal methyl hydrogens is substituted by a hydroxy group. 1-Triacontanol is a naturally occurring plant growth regulator found in plant cuticle waxes and in beeswax which is widely used as a growth stimulant in many plants, most particularly in roses.
