Swelling:1 g swells to 15-20 mL gel；
Bead size :40-120 μm ;
球蛋白分离范围：4000-150000。

应用：利用分子筛作用，进行多肽分离、脱盐、清洗生物提取液、分子量测定。

Sephadex® G-100, Medium is an often-cited gel filtration medium for desalting and buffer exchange of very large moleculaes. Sephadex® is prepared by crosslinking dextran with epichlorohydrin. Sephadex products differ in their degree of cross-linking and hence in their degree of swelling and their molecular fractionation range. “Medium” indicates a large particle size for use in large-scale group separations where high flow rates and low operating pressures are required.

Sephadex® G-100 is suitable for spin column purification of DNA (from contaminating small molecules) for use in hybridizations. It was used to purify the enzyme polyphenoloxidases isolated from banana by gel filteration.
