Immobilized Chymotrypsin Resin (Chymotrypsin Agarose) is used to preferentially hydrolyze proteins at Tyrosine, Tryptophan, and Phenylalanine residues with minimal Chymotrypsin autolysis byproducts or other protease contaminants. Immobilized Chymotrypsin resin is provided in a 50% slurry, and is supplied as 2 mL of actual resin (4 mL of slurry).
ProteoChem's Immobilized Chymotrypsin gel is manufactured from sequencing grade bovine alpha Chymotrypsin, which has been TLCK treated to remove tryptic activity. Immobilized Chymotrypsin is covalently bound to agarose, which allows for easy removal of the enzyme from digested sample. Recommended reaction conditions are pH 7.5 to 9.0 at 37ºC.
